This piece was created during my time the Art Umbrella's Art Exchange Scholarship Program, during which we would take inspiration from artists at the Vancouver Art Gallery. This dress is a replica of my old childhood Hanbok, a traditional korean dress. I used discarded and scrap fabric to represent finding my culture in Canada.

I used this piece to explore the charcoal medium and create dynamic figure drawings. This was a warm up exercise for my final charcoal piece.

Quintuple portraits are a series of charcoal portraits of my brother turning his head from left to right. I liked the idea of a rotating portrait. By adding more to the standard portrait it landed more of an impact and a sense of movement.

Pine Tree is a piece I created during my time at a chinese watercolour course. I used this piece to demonstate my skills using what I've learned, such as the overlapping of colours and fine brush strokes.
